but it's a great deal. I bought two for my laptop and installed both of them. I don't really feel the speed though.
It is out of sight and out of mind which is probably good for this kind of product.
Let sit for a few minutes to disspiate any leftover charge. Removed the old memory. Turned off the computer, removed the battery. Pull the ends of the rails outwards simultaneously and the memory chip pops up at a 45degree angle. Purchased the OCZ during Amazon's last super special.
Could not be easier. Look under the performance tab and noted the acer recognized the memory; proudly displaying 2086780. Ground myself by touching something metal. After it has finished booting, hit control-alt-delete to bring up the task manager. Popped open the cover (its the one in the middle). If the memory is not seated all the way down, these rails do not lock down.Put the battery back in and fired up the computer. Wrong sized tip can easily deform the soft screw head.its on pretty snug. Pushed down the memory and the two chrome rails snapped into place with its tiny nubs falling into the memory board cutout on the sides.
Installed the 2gig memory into an Acer Aspire One D250. Next lined up the new memory into the slot (can only go on one way with the slot on the memory board facing the front of the computer) and wiggled it down until the brass contact points disappear. Only problem was getting the proper screwdriver head to fit. Found a philips head screwdriver that fit.have to be careful with screwdriver selection. The old memory chip is held in by two chromed rails, one on each end.
Definitely notice the increased speed of my netbook. Easy to install and worked perfectly. Purchased this module from Amazon.com to upgrade the RAM in my Acer netbook from 1g to 2g. Super fast shipping and a great price.
i would recommend this to people who seek for a better ram.this ram is easy to install.and my eee pc 701sd recognize it right away.and now i am happy and very satisfied to my asus netbook.you guys should try it.
